Today in maths our teacher named Mr Hynes said we were going to have a fun session and it was, what we did was we had to pick an Olympic sport and draw a scene from it on an A3 piece of paper but in the corner you had to include things in that scene that were related to maths in any way. For example if you did basketball you could to the scores or if you did diving you could do the massive scoreboard. One thing I could have done better is thought outside the box a bit more. I enjoyed this maths session a lot and I hope we have maths activities like this every day because I enjoy hands on activities.
In Maths, we are starting to do angles. Yesterday we learnt how to use a protractor and work out all the degrees; it was fun and quite easy. Today we are going to learn about all the types of angles for example an obtuse angle. We have also been doing division because we did a test and they split the people who needed help with multiplication and division. In division I have been told by my teacher all these different strategies to work it out and I am pretty good at it now. The one time we did angles I got it really well and it’s easier than it looks.

An interesting task you did during Maths. Can you tell me other maths related things in your picture. I can think of shapes that are on the court.
